I’m a fan of cock rings and I enjoy using them and writing about them. The Tantus Intermediate C-Ring is one of many cock rings in a family of products from Tantus. Like all Tantus silicone-based products, it is a premium quality silicone that has a nice smooth silky feel. (Full disclosure: while I have purchased nearly all of my cock rings, Tantus provided this particular product to me in exchange for an honest review. My thanks to Tantus Inc.)

Tantus C-Rings are broad for comfort and safety. If you’re not familiar with a cock ring, these toys typically hold the testicles down and keeps the testes from contracting thus slowing down ejaculation. The constriction can elongate the man’s orgasm.

Before wearing, it’s best to apply water-based lube to the inside of the ring, then ease one testicle through at a time before finally pulling your cock through (before an erection).

I’ve had the Tantus Beginner C-Ring for quite a while and I wrote about it as part of my popular Introduction to Cock Rings post. I originally worried that this somewhat smaller “Intermediate” C-Ring would be too tight on me. The Beginner C-Ring is a 2″ diameter while the Intermediate is 1.875″, but after using it, I’m happy. I can tell it’s a bit more snug but it fits! I now have the delightful challenge of deciding which I prefer, and I’m leaning towards the snugger fitting Intermediate model.

Positives: As a silicone product, it’s incredibly easy to clean and it does a terrific job of constricting, which is one of the main goals for a cock ring (see an introduction to cock rings if needed). These rings do not retain any odor, and they do not smell on their own (unlike many unsafe toy materials that often do smell). I prefer the sensation and fullness of larger cock rings that go around my testicles, and these Tantus C-Rings do that well. It’s also Eco-Friendly, Hypoallergenic, Hygienic, Boilable, Bleachable and Dishwasher Safe.

Tantus-C-Rings-and-C-SlingsNegatives: I have reviewed skinnier cock rings that I didn’t enjoy as they tended to pinch and be uncomfortable. I’m hard pressed though to think of any real negatives about the Tantus C-Rings. The product is truly well made. The biggest negative is likely to be about cock rings in general. I suspect that not everyone would enjoy a cock ring, and they can be a little bit of a challenge to put on (especially given the whole “wrangling of your nuts, one at a time, through the ring). So if you are super-sensitive about pushing or pulling on your nut sack, you might not be a fan of cock rings that are intended to hug/constrict the testicles like this. I didn’t think I’d be a fan but I was happily proven wrong. I definitely recommend giving one a try.
